Britta Mangold was born in Lübeck and spent her childhood in Ethiopia, Zuoz/Engadine, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Heidelberg, and Bonn.
She began her career in set design for theater and film, working with renowned artists such as Eduardo Paolozzi, Jerome Savary, Otto Schenk, and Percy Adlon. Later she became the first woman ever to complete a year-long internship at ARRI Camera Rental and subsequently worked her way up through the ranks. As a Focus Puller (1st AC), she worked worldwide for national and international cinematographers.
Since 1994, she has dedicated herself wholeheartedly to working as a freelance cinematographer around the globe. She has worked as a cinematographer for Hollywood, including on Roland Emmerich's team during the miniature filming of "The 13th Floor," "The Patriot," and "10,000 BC." She has also contributed to hundreds of commercials for numerous major brands.
Britta always works with great enthusiasm and loves a challenge -she combines authenticity with life experience.
Britta is based in Munich, Germany.
