Hagen Decker

With numerous Echo Award nominations for the Best Music Video of the Year, Hagen Decker belongs to a group of young, avant-garde directors who have strongly influenced the field in recent years.

He has worked with almost all of Germany’s top acts (including Juli, Tim Bendzko, Frida Gold, Polarkreis 18, Madsen, Jennifer Rostock, Max Mutzke, Jupiter Jones).

On YouTube alone his music videos have had over 850 million views.

In 2009 his documentary film "Immergut der Film”, about an open air music festival, was shown in cinemas all over Germany.

Since 2012, Hagen Decker has also established himself as a director for commercials. 

His first work “Du kaufst" for Schwäbisch Hall was awarded the Golden Effi for the Best Advertising Campaign.

His film "One Thing" for Volkswagen was nominated for the Reklamefilmpreis in the Best 

Advert category and aired in eleven countries.

His clients include Schwäbisch Hall, Deutsche Bahn, Continental, Volkswagen, O2, Pepsi, AOK, 

ING-DiBa and Granini.

In 2016, the Goethe Institute, in cooperation with the German Foreign Office, chose his Schwäbisch Hall film as teaching material for German lessons at their institutes worldwide.

Since 2017, Hagen has been part of an international artist exchange program at the University of Michigan, Detroit, teaching film directing.
