about | sven luetzenkirchen

sven was born in leverkusen 1975 and lives today in cologne.
he studied 6 years at the fh in dortmund, at the faculty design, film and tv-camera.
it was about deepening the documentary & featurefilm in 16mm and 35mm. the education also involved directing, editing & dramaturgy with the certificate of gratuate design. projects & gratuate films with the art academy of media in cologne emerged.
after that sven did an internship at the DDB in düsseldorf and afterwards he worked there as a freelancer.
together with the bauhaus universität in weimar different shortfilms were developed. one of them "kalkheim" won at the shortfilmfestival in dresden. his gratuate film "air" was nominated for the "deutsche kamerapreis 2002" in the category: best camera & best edit of a short film. there sven engineered an action camera at a cablecar.
since 2002 he is working as a freelance dop in the range of advertising, image- and industryfilm, documentary & featurefilm.
sven speaks english and spanish. in his freetime he likes to do sports and traveling.
